Smart self-service platform based on AI and 5G
“Funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU”, as part of the “Next Generation Lithuania” plan.
UAB Acoris, together with its partners UAB Elektroninės sistemos and Kaunas Technical College, is implementing the project “Smart self-service platform based on artificial intelligence and 5G” No 08-004-K-0031. The project is implemented within the framework of the progress measure No. 10-001-05-04-01 “Increasing the value created by the transport system and the efficiency of infrastructure use”.
The project aims to create a user-friendly platform for people to find, book and pay for entertainment, accommodation and catering services, and to receive an electronic confirmation that allows them to access the services without the need for staff assistance when they arrive at the service outlets.
The platform will address issues such as speed and latency of IoT (Internet of things) systems, bandwidth, cybersecurity and energy minimisation. These aspects are important for the development of the platform as self-service processes involve a large number of online communications:
➢ User identification (e-key iOS/Android, biometric, card, PIN, QR/barcode) and location (GPS, QR code),
➢ Reserving the service,
➢ Identification of service type and location (GPS, QR code),
➢ Providing information about the service, selecting services and creating a basket,
➢ Online payment,
➢ Presentation of the ticket/service confirmation to the buyer and point of sale, access control equipment,
➢ Remote service provision (activation on arrival),
➢ Monitoring the functioning of service delivery infrastructure.
The system will be prototyped as a self-service platform with artificial intelligence and tested on a commercial 5G network in cooperation with telecoms partners.

TELEMATIC INTEGRATED SOLUTION FOR OPTIMAL MANAGEMENT OF AGRICULTURAL PROCESSES

“Funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU”, as part of the Next Generation Lithuania plan.
A study carried out together with VMU researchers has identified that up to 31% of the time spent using agricultural machinery is spent on indirect work (sub-optimal transport, idling, etc.). This leads to 12-14% additional fuel consumption, emissions and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. It was therefore decided to set up a unified monitoring and control system for agricultural processes that would allow farmers and other operators of polluting machinery to be notified of deviations from the planned optimal operating modes.
The project will develop a telematic integrated solution for the optimal management of agricultural processes, which will allow farmers and other enterprises using polluting machinery to receive notifications of deviations from the planned optimal operating modes, and to receive information (on the start, duration, location, speed of movement of machinery and personnel). This will ensure optimal operational processes, reduce environmental pollution, energy consumption and improve economic performance.

Implementation of an e-commerce model in UAB Acoris
Acoris UAB provides companies and organisations with solutions for accounting of employees’ working time and the tools and machinery they use, as well as automation services for equipment control. The installation of information technology systems requires the provision of hardware and software, the calculation of the cost of the equipment and the cost of installation-testing works, which is a labour-intensive process. In addition, the company’s customers often request additional components for the installed systems. Searching for the equipment used in a client’s project is also time-consuming.
Meanwhile, many customers, and we experienced this especially during Covid 19, prefer to be able to place orders themselves via the company’s website. Customers want to see when orders are scheduled to be fulfilled and the progress of orders, to record discrepancies in the products received, and to see the progress of their resolution.
To better serve our customers through e-commerce, we need integration with the work management and warehouse management modules of our enterprise business management system.
The decision was taken to introduce an e-commerce platform to reduce the number of face-to-face meetings and to make the process more efficient and user experience. The company plans to implement e-commerce solutions in its operations during the implementation of this project, which will allow it to increase its operational efficiency and sales revenues and to successfully overcome the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic or other external factors. The benefits of the project have been assessed and the project has been awarded funding from the European Regional Development Fund under the call for proposals under Priority 13 of the European Union Funds Investment Actions 2014-2020 “Promoting actions to address the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and preparing for an environmentally friendly, digital and sustainable economic recovery”, measure No 13.1.1-LVPA-K-860 “E-commerce model COVID-19”. The project is funded as part of the European Union’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
